These continue to be extremely popular events. Come early, and play often.
Read this in its entirety!!!
The 28th of September's regularly scheduled Thursday Night Cash Standard Tournament will be replaced with Win-a-Box Tournaments. The 28th is currently the only day in which we will have a different kind of event. The regular Thursday night event will return on October 5th.
Starting at 4pm on Thursday the 28th, we will have $12 entry single elimination 8 man Ixalan-Standard (info below) constructed round tournaments that will fire on demand. Winners of this event will win a voucher for an entire Booster Box of Ixalan. We will fire as many of these events as we can, up to 9pm.
This means the winners of each of these events will be able to claim their boxes at midnight that same night.
Ixalan-Standard will reflect the rotation that will occur when Ixalan is released. This means the following sets will be legal for these tournaments: Kaladesh, Aether Revolt, Amonkhet, Hour of Devastation, and Ixalan. Playtest cards will be legal for these tournaments.
Your Playtest cards can be ANYTHING from Kaladesh, Aether Revolt, Amonkhet, Hour of Devastation, and/or Ixalan.
What is a Play Test card? A Play Test Card is a basic land with the name of the card you wish to represent written on the front face of the card with permanent marker. For these tournaments we ask that players also write the Casting Cost of the card in the top right hand corner of the card, power/toughness of creatures in the bottom right, and any evergreen abilities (trample, flying, etc) in the lower “text box” area.
OR (and we HIGHLY SUGGEST this)
Now for the good stuff.
As a thank you to our regular players for helping to grow this community and just being awesome, we will be hosting a PIZZA PARTY on the 28th. At a super secret time in the night we will provide players with a few pieces of pizza each. Marking if you are attending is important so we have a decent idea of a head count.
We are very proud of this community. Thank you to everyone that has helped to make it what it is.
